Saint Joseph's University Department of Biology has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to staff a variety of courses each semester. Professionals with experience and a passion for teaching at the undergraduate level will be given preference. Part-time adjunct faculty may instruct one or two courses each semester on an "as needed" basis. Courses available for adjunct staffing are offered during the day and also in the evening. Courses available for adjunct staffing may include, but are not limited to: Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Nutrition and other related courses. This is Lancaster Campus.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver instructional materials such as lectures, lab activities, and assessments
Hold regular office hours to support students
Create, Administer, and Grade assignments, quizzes, lab reports, and exams
Maintain accurate records of student progress in the course
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Biology or a closely related field required (Ph.D. preferred)
Prior teaching experience at the college level strongly preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to effectively explain complex concepts to students
Strong organizational and classroom management skills
