Adjunct Latin Foreign Language Instructor

Antelope Valley College invites applications for our adjunct (Temporary, part-time) faculty applicant pool for the following: Foreign language Latin Instructor. 

• Instruct students in the assigned discipline  
• Assignment may include teaching courses during the day, evening, on-line courses and/or off-campus sites

(Applicant must meet one of the following requirements)

• Most current Minimum Qualifications for Faculty in California Community Colleges: Master’s in the language being taught OR Bachelor’s in the language being taught AND Master’s in another language or linguistics OR the equivalent.

• Antelope Valley College Equivalency: Equivalency not needed, per faculty division

• Letter of intent that addresses minimum and desirable qualifications.
• Scanned copy of official transcripts with required degree(s). Foreign transcripts and degrees require official certification of equivalency to U.S. transcripts and degrees by a certified U.S. review service at the time of application and must identify graduate level coursework.
• Two (2) current letters of professional reference signed and dated within the last year.

• Each recruitment is conducted independently from others; therefore, interested parties need to submit separate complete application packages for each position they apply. 
• Applicants may be subject to passing an examination (written/technical), as appropriate to the requirements of the position. 
• Residency within a reasonable geographical area of the college may be necessary.
