Job Description

Our Team Members exemplify the Farmer Boys brand image as the first point of contact with our guests. You will deliver exemplary service before, during, and after taking or making orders.

As a Team Member, you may:

  • Take orders
  • Manage registers
  • Maintain the dining room
  • Work the drive-thru
  • Cook our fresh, made-to-order food
  • Prepare fresh ingredients

Experience is great, but not required. We love to teach if you love to learn. We will provide hands-on training and online courses to prepare you for success.

Job Summary

As a Team Member, you may have opportunities to learn different positions.

You may work as a Cashier, providing friendly, courteous service by greeting each guest with a smile and making them feel welcome.

You may also run the drive-thru station, working with a team to deliver fast and efficient service.

You might even have the opportunity to operate the grill and cook fresh food, or help prepare ingredients such as zucchini and hand-chopped lettuce.


Job Details

Work Hours:
Full-time and part-time hours are available.

Career Advancement / Career Plan:

Requirements

Experience:
No experience is required. However, one or more years of experience in restaurant service, cooking, or food preparation is preferred.

Education:
No education is required, but a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.

Communication:

  • Ability to speak and read English is preferred
  • A second language is a plus
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with customers

Competencies:

  • Kitchen skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Time management
  • Experience entering orders into a Point-of-Sale (POS) system is preferred

Food Handler Card:
Required where applicable.

Physical Demands:
A Team Member regularly:

  • Stands, talks, and hears
  • Uses close and distant vision
  • Tastes or smells food
  • Repeatedly uses hands to reach, handle, feel, or grasp objects

Occasionally required to:

  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Lift objects up to 40 lbs
