Description

Sterile Processing Technician at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is Full time and will work 8-hour, Variable shifts.

Works in collaboration with nursing and other health care professionals to effectively contribute to the overall function and organization of the department. Performs duties relative to cleaning, sterilizing, transportation, storage and care of surgical instrumentation and equipment.

Required qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Unit Specific training.
  • Coursework/Training: Environmental orientation within 30 days of hire.
  • Within 1 year of hire National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association. Or
  • Within 1 year of hire National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Sterile Processing experience.
  • 6 months  In a Hospital operating room tech experience.
