Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintain complete and current licensure (or pre-licensure intern status) with the State of California BBS or Trainee Status at an accredited Masters program.
2. Maintain personal malpractice insurance at all times which covers all services provided at LSS and provide proof of current insurance to LSS HR at time of hire and upon expiration.
3. Provide Individual Therapy, Group Therapy and classes as assigned according to Clinical Soundness and Best Practices guidelines
4. Produce and maintain all clinical records as required by contract with the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health and Department of Children and Family Services.
For DBH this includes but is not limited to:
a. Thorough understanding and implementation of the guidelines set forth in the
Standards and Practices Manual and Outpatient Charting Manual
b. Accurate entry of services into the Clinical Record and the Tracker System with in given time frames
c. Accurate reporting of billing based on presence of documentation in the clinical record.
5. Strictly adhering to all codes of conduct and ethics as required by the BBS, LSS employee handbook and contractual requirements.
6. Availability to respond to crisis calls and walk in clients as needed
7. Attendance at all trainings (both internal and external) as required by contractor the Clinical Supervisor or other LSS management.
8. Meet and maintain specific program target productivity as assigned. Manage workload to meet program target goals by the end of each month and the fiscal year.
9. Maintain client list on a monthly basis including but not limited to: removal of clients not being seen, addition of clients being seen, closing clients who are non compliant with service in a timely fashion and assurance that clients are seen within CRP and clinical guidelines.
10. Document clinical follow up for no show clients with attempted phone contact same or next day.
11. Participate in Chart Monitoring/Review as assigned.
12. Provide accurate statistical information as requested within assigned deadlines.
13. Respond to County and LSS plans of need for corrective action within one week of receipt.
14. Maintaining close, open communication with Clinical supervisor and Program Manager regarding clients, problems with documentation and any other issue which arise in the course of providing services.
15. If an Associate or Trainee, is responsible for having all hours signed by Clinical Supervisor on a minimum of a monthly basis.
16. Any other duties assigned by the Clinical Supervisor, Clinic Area Director or Program Manager
Competencies: to perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Education and/or Experience:
Masters degree or higher in psychology, social work, marriage and family counseling or a related field from an accredited college /university.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software.
Certificates and Licenses:
Current licensure or intern status, in good standing, as a therapist in the State of California
California Drivers license (job may require travel to clients homes or other community locations)

The employee may be required to spend a significant amount of time driving or riding in a vehicle while another employee drives (estimated to be up to 20 hrs. per week however some weeks could be more) to meet Contract and Client requirements. This may include travel outside San Bernardino County. The employee must have the ability to meet this requirement as well as drive in inclement weather as described in LSS policy.
