***Salary Range:  Starting from $75,000/yr based on experience.

Job Summary

The Operations Manager will oversee all operations activities within the assigned geographical area. You will be responsible for driver safety and operational efficiency. You will also observe and analyze the overall efficiency of the department to ensure things are moving smoothly as well as report your findings to upper management as needed.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

· Overall site/location responsibility, including Operational efficiency, safety compliance and employee engagement.

· Plans, distributes, monitors, and follows-up daily route assignments to ensure customers are serviced per company standards and agreements

· Organizes and schedules all necessary resources required to accomplish activities. Coordinates daily operational needs with Maintenance team

· Manages the end-of-day check-in process, capturing and communicating key service, safety, and equipment issues.

· Monitors driver and laborer time and attendance, minimizing overtime and ensuring that drivers do not exceed limits established by regulatory agencies

· Reviews weekly demand / volume for routes, determines potential gains from re-routing, and recommends re-routes to the routing specialist.

· Responsible for driver safety including safety training, safety planning, incident reporting, etc.

· Accountable for scheduling shifts, planning for call-ins/no shows, and reporting department metrics and performance

· Responsible for route optimization and route coverage at all times

· Proactively evaluate and perform route visits and assessments

· Evaluate customer support and problem solving to find solutions to customer issues

· Respond positively to unpredictable situations or problems that can occur throughout their work responsibilities

· Handle all other duties and assignments as required.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skill, and Experience

· High school diploma or GED is required

· 5+ years of experience as Operations Manager/Supervisor, preferably from the waste management or trucking/transportation Industry

· Must have a commercial driver’s license (CDL) or willing to obtain one

· Ability to multi-task

· Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills

· Must be a self-starter with a strong level of accountability

· Essential to be detailed oriented

· Upbeat and energized to complete tasks with a positive attitude

· Must work well under pressure

· Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook Software Skills

· Ability to perform physical requirements of the job

· Ability to work in all weather conditions

· Experience with routine maintenance operations

· Fluency in Spanish is a plus
